Even

Let's say, for arguments sake, that my daughter has now been OUT of me for as long as she was IN me. It's not exactly true, but let's just say it is. Julia is 9 months old.

In the past 9 months I have forgotten or skipped over more things than I have remembered.

As an example, we only sent about half of our Holiday cards. Embarassing! I may still send the rest. But it's obviously not the same now. In case you are someone we skipped, this greeting is for you:

I've skipped some other important things, too. Like, say, sending birth announcements. Seriously! I waited until 40 to have a baby, then passed up the opportunity to announce it to the world?!

I can only say that communication--finding time to tell everyone "hello," "we love you," or "thank you"--has proven to be quite difficult. It's NOT that I don't think it. I DO. Trust me.

I should call. I should send a thank you note. But I probably didn't, and still might not. I apologize, but I offer up "Dance along the light of day." Check back here when you feel offended. LOL. I don't believe this will make up for my bad manners, but I do hope to mitigate the level of offense in a fun way.

Now let's see...

Auntie Beth & Uncle Danno sent Christmas presents. Julia looooves her gear!! She tells us that Cal is now her back-up school and Dartmouth moves to the top of the list.

And Great Aunt Nancy knitted this elephant for Julia. A tiny-bit big now, but not for long!

Of course, I love my Dartmouth gear, too. And Stuart has already gotten much better at his Xbox-style controller. (Still no threat, Danno!) Thank you Berliner/McKinnons for our lovely gifts!!

With all our love,

Barbara
